Mistreated animals : One Voice takes a stand

For some animals, life is a nightmare. The victims of violent humans, they are subject to real torture often within their family. One Voice is taking a stand against this behaviour.

A release
Some humans mistreat their pet. Most of these people were also victims of mistreatment in their childhood. But it may also be an expression of their own discomfort, a release. Sometimes it can also be an ill-intentioned neighbour who can no longer stand seeing the neighbour’s cat in his garden, hearing the dog bark or who “just” wants to harm the animal…

A need to dominate through force
It’s always an unhealthy pleasure, a need to let go, a need to dominate through force or just lack of knowledge of the animal that is behind these actions. In all cases, these actions reveal a behavioural imbalance and are, unfortunately, most often a step towards violence against a spouse or children. But mistreatment can also be much more subtle than direct violence. It can also take the form of a lack of care, negligence or even over-affection. Not providing the necessary care, even through ignorance, under-feeding or over-protecting is also mistreatment…

Defending these victim animals
One Voice denounces these acts. A pet is not something to take our frustrations out on. It has the fundamental right to live in peace without being beaten or shouted at. It also has the right to live with enough to eat and somewhere to shelter. One Voice defends these victim animals by prosecuting the people who commit these acts. The association is campaigning for these people to be banned from owning animals.
